Training on rope pump manufacturing in Madagascar

Practica Foundation has introduced a new family rope pump in Madagascar. The pump complies with the standards outlined in the National Procedures for Water and Sanitation and significantly reduces the cost of lifting water compared to established pumping technologies. Our partner, Voahary Salama, is a platform of Malagasy NGOs that promotes an integrated vision on rural development to increase access to water supply.

Goals

  • The training aims to provide the capacity and technical skills to craftsmen to manufacture, install, repair and maintain rope pumps.
